Kayaking on Timothy Lake on Mt Hood

ELK and I got up early one morning to go kayaking. It was really cool paddling out into the fog that was lifting off the lake.

We did not catch any fish on this trip. But then again we really weren't trying to hard.

Gran Fondo

My Friend Steph was telling me about riding the Gran Fondo and I thought it sounded like fun. So I talked ADK into riding with me. This was the first ride that I have ever done. We signed up for the 20 mile ride but Steph was riding the 40 miler. I did not think I could do the 40 miler. The day of the ride I found out that the 40 had changed to 30 so ADK and I changed to the 30 so we could ride with Steph and Steve.

The ride started at Walla Walla Community College and headed south out through the wheat fields. It was a bit chilly but warmed right up after about 4 miles. Was a beautiful day. We started out ahead of most and was passed by the pack around mile 5. The was a rest stop at mile 17 in Milton-Freewater at Blue Mountain Cider. That was a nice rest and food break.
