Mud Flag Football Game

Elk's New hair cut

ELK finally let me cut his hair.

Fall baseball

It was a nice sunny fall afternoon for ADK's baseball game.
The temperature was in the high 80's.

A wild pitch had ADK jumping out of the way. He did not get hit.

Macro Lens

We were in Kennewick this past weekend for ADK's Fall baseball game. I was busy taking picture when I looked along the fence line and saw these bugs mating. I then changed from baseball picture to experimenting with my macros lens setting. I have not taken the opportunity to do it.

Yakutat Alaska Sept 2009

Rick went on a Alaska Fishing trip to Yakutat Alaska with 7 other guys from Milton-Freewater. It was his first time in Alaska. One day it rained so hard they did some sight seeing instead of fishing and went to the glacier near Yakutat.
One of many of the dump bears. They did a drive through visit to watch the bears at the dump.

Rick with one of the silver salmon that they caught.

On Monday they took a charter fishing trip out in the ocean and caught halibut and other fish.

Fair entries

I entered items in the fair this year. This is a first for me at this fair and also as an adult. I did it so that I could get a free gate pass into the fair. A bunch of us scrapbookers talk about it every year but I never get around to it. This year I made it a priority and glad that I did. This is a photo that I took at Wallowa Lake last January when we were over there for a wrestling tournament. It was late in the afternoon and the boys were tossing rocks into the lake. The sun was just starting to set behind the hill when the ray appeared across the lake. I was really please with how the photo turned out. The judges comments were good composition and contrast. Bad matting, floppy. I did not have the photo professional matted since the photo is going a scrapbook.

This is a photo mosaic I made of Evan's football season last year. I took a class last fall at Creative Keepsakes Convention in Seattle and learned the photo mosaic technique. I really like the out come and so did the judge. Got first place.

First Day of School

I am a little slow at updating my blog. The boys started school on August 24. ADK is in 8th Grade and at Central Middle School. He is taking all honors classes and playing Fall baseball.
ELK is in 5th grade at Grove Elemetery and had 2 male teachers this year. It is a first for him. He has always had female teachers. I think it will be very good for him. He is playing football on the Pioneers Red team.
