4H Pigs

 These are the new little pigs that we just bought for Fair in September. They are the cutest looking guys.

 This ones name is dot because of the spot on its nose.

 The pig that is 2nd from the right is name is Demon because of the brown strips on it nose.

 ADK's pig feeding.

 ADK's pig was getting to heavy so we separated it and other pig out and are now handing feeding them 2 times a day. We took them in Sunday to weight and ADK's weighed 240 and Smileys was 238. The top weight is 290. We should be doing OK. If they continue are the rate of gain they have been the last 3 weeks they will weight in around 270lbs. Which is right where you want them to be. Funny thing is Andrew's pig looks lighter but weights more. Much leaner looking pig. It should do well in conformation. YEAH. After last year's pig not making weight it is what ADK needs.

ELK's pig is the one in the middle. Little Wilbur, was the smallest of pigs we got. Was only about half the size of all the others but has grown and is now larger that some of the other pigs. He is doing quite well an should be around 240 for show.

2011 BASH - Last day of skiing

 Waiting for the lifts of open. Sunday April 10, 2011 and it was snowing. What a great day!

 ADK and Rick were trying to hit ELK and I with snowballs on the chair lift. Never made it but did come close a few times.

 ADK is the lone skier on the right. Waiting his turn for the big air competition.

Hard to see but ADK is flying through the air off the big air competition jump. He did not do any tricks like all the rest of the guys. I do give him credit just going off the big jump.

ELK's Baseball Season

 Baseball season is here and ELK is playing for Les Schwab for his 3rd year and Rick is managing the team with help from Mark and Allen. This past Saturday was opening weekend and they played Apple Valley. It was a very good game. Les Schwab came from behind to tie it up 4-4 in the sixth inning and went into extra innings. The game ended up going 8 inning with a final score of 4-5. Les Schwab winning. ELK caught 3 innings then went to short top for an inning. Then pitched in the 5 & 6 innings. His arm started hurting so then he wen to outfield and finished the game playing short stop.

 Safe or out????

 It was a close one and the umpire called him out.

 I just love taking picture of the boys pitching. It is fun to look at their expression through out the whole pitch and see how it changes pitch to pitch.
