As a kid growing up I did not play organized sports that I can remember. I really don't know the reason except that I wore a back brace starting in 6
th grade for scoliosis. I got out of doing most the PE classes because of the back brace. Now I wish they would have made me do a modified PE class.
As an adult I wish I had done more sports as a kid and encourage my boys to play every sport they want. Well that is everything but wrestling. Every spring my boys have played baseball since they were old enough to. In the fall they played soccer until they were old enough to play football. In the winter we ski as a family.
ADK was 4 years old when we first taught him how to ski. ELK was 2 years old when he started skiing between our legs. We finally let the boys try wrestling last year.
ADK loved the workout but did not like the dirt wrestling that would occur during practices. He only wrestled one year. ELK loves it and wrestled again this year.

I hope this will help them have an active healthy life as an adult.
I don't really remember what sports I did. I do know that I was active in riding bikes and skied in the winter but that is about it. I have a hard time setting time aside to exercise because it has never been a priority in my life. Really needs to be. I have been working hard at making a life style change to get more physically fit. I know what it takes but doing it is much harder.
I joined the Biggest Loser competition that is happening at work. All I have done since then is gain 5 pounds. UGH... I am working out twice a day. Have been changing out eating habits and still gained weight. I lost more before I started the competition. Guess it is time to quite the competition.
I have set a new goal for myself. I am going to compete in a mini Triathlon here in Milton-
Freewater. I know it is doable and hope that this will help with the life changes and weight loss I am working on.
