CKC - Seattle

G & T, the ina sisters as we are called at work. This was taken in Every Day Life by Ali Edwards class on Friday afternoon. My last class of the day. We had to rush back to the hotel and attempt to find dinner before the Friday night crop in the basement of the hotel. This was a really neat idea that was in one of the vendor booths. It would be a great way to display photos on your desk at work or business cards. Shopping, Shopping, shopping every woman's dream. There were over 60 booths with every imaginable scrapbooking tool, paper, etc... available at the convention. That is everything but 8 1/2 x 11 size paper with school stuff that I wanted.

This photos is at the Friday night crop. They were looking for 10 brave soles to get up and moo like a cow. I jumped at the chance to win a prize and make a fool of myself. Heck I only knew one other person in the room anyway. I did not win but did get a consolation prize. In fact there was lots of stuff given out at the crop. It was so fun.
G&T waiting for the doors to open Friday morning.

Scrapbook pages

The following two pages are a mosaic layout from December 2008 when we went to Arizona from Christmas. Chihuly the nature of glass was on display at the botanical dessert and we went there to check out the glass work. It was amazing. The layouts are still lacking a few photos. I just ordered a few more. Will post more photos when I complete them.
I have started to scrapbook Rick fishing trip to Alaska. This is just one of many pages that I will do from his trip. This past July the Kain family got together for a week of camping in Joseph, Oregon. These photos were take at the top of Mt Howard where we had a memorial service for his parents.

Disneyland March 2008

This past Saturday evening I spent some time scrapbooking with friends. Worked on our vacation we took last spring break to Disneyland. This is going to be the front page of the photo album. I used some 2008 Disney paper that I bought while in California for the back ground.

The pictures of the letters were taken at the front entrance of Disney California Adventures (DCA). The only time we could get photos without a ton of people around was late at night.

Parts of the electric light parade has not changed since I saw it in 7th grade. Other parts have. They now have a float celebrating the USA.

Mom took out to a Character breakfast at the Grand California Lodge. We had a great time. Lots of good food. The biggest strawberries you ever saw and of course lots of time with the characters. All the characters loved playing with ADK's helicopter hat he got at Disneyland.

Rick and I had so much fun watching Captain Jack while he was talking with people. Captain Jack was a arrogate pirate. He would not poise for pictures but did give signatures. Evan got his signature and when he was done signing he tossed it over his shoulder because he was not sure what one would do with his signature. It was a blast watching him interact with people.

If you look closely you will see Rick in the back ground hiding in the shade. He did not want to get his picture take with the boys but I managed to get him anyway.
Stay tune for more Disney pages to come.

Scrapbooking

I have been busy cleaning up the scrapbook room and getting back to scrapbooking on a regular bases. Last Saturday we scrapbooked at the house. Well I should say I did since only one other person showed up because of the bad weather. Julie stopped by but did not bring her stuff. We had a good time catching up. We have both been so busy that it has been a long while since we have had a chance to visit. In fact we ran into each other in Tri-Cities at the Sportsman's show a few weeks back and joke about having to travel 60 miles just to see each other. Enjoy the layouts I finished while we visited.
