The boys did not have school on Friday, Oct 9, 2009. It was
in service say for the teachers and end of 1st quarter.
ADK made a bad decision not to read and take any AR reading tests and
received a "D" in class.
Needles to say Mom was not very happy and dropped the hammer. Restriction were placed upon him and he hopefully learned a valuable lesson about
choices he had and the
consequences. Andrew spend the day reading so that he would be ready to take AR tests Monday at school.
I came home at lunch to both boys reading in the backyard in these make shift forts. It was only 50 degrees out that day. Andrew says he likes reading in the backyard with the peaceful sounds from the running creek.
ADK finished his book and was able to go hunting with dad that weekend. Mom said he would not be able to go hunting if he did not have a book finished and ready to test on come Monday morning. He read for 4 hours Thursday night and 8 hours straight on Friday. Finished his book and was able to go hunting.
